Northgate Games wanted heat. Every reference I found solved heat with orange, so I did the opposite and drained the picture instead: bleached ground, pale sky, a caravan reduced to shapes, and shadows so short they are almost gone.
It is the least colorful thing on this page and the one art directors send me when they want something to look expensive. The lead driver from the cover became the campaign art and then, at the publisher's request, a card of his own.
